The Financial Development Resources (FDR) website is created for researchers who study financial development, or seek materials relevant to financial development. It is maintained by Yongfu Huang, previously hosted by the University of Cambridge.
The bibliography, main part of this resources, contains journal articles from 1960 to 2009. To reflect the recent developments, working papers since 2000 are also included. The bibliography is organized not only thematically but also alphabetically. The thematically organised list is mainly divided into the models of financial development or financial intermediation, the origins and consequences of financial development, with several subthemes. An alphabetical list of full references is then inclusive of those appearing in the thematic list. Please note that the subthemes are created rather broadly and arbitrarily. To alleviate any confusion it may cause, some items are allocated under several headings.
This site is essentially designed to be access-friendly, but please accept my apologies if you encounter any difficulties in access. Please also note that the access may be subject to the status of electronic journal subscription of your institution.
Since being set up, this site has received valuable suggestions by Jonathan Temple, Wing Ching Lau, Daniel Grote, among others. As a public good, its success depends on your support and submissions! Your comments and suggestions are highly appreciated. Please follow the format suggested on this site if you would like to submit an entry for inclusion, and submit it by email to: Yongfu.Huang@wider.unu.edu.
