I am a Research Fellow at the United Nations University, World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER). I am leading the work programme of Foreign Aid, Environment and Climate Change under our ReCom project.
I also serve on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) as Lead Author for the Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) working on the "Cross-cutting Finance and Investment Issues".
My main research interests lie in the areas of Climate Change Economics, Macroeconomics and Econometrics, covering sustainable development, financial development, trade, investment, panel data econometrics, spatial econometrics, economic forecasting and macroeconomic modelling.
